Overall, it's a good experience (and I really DO mean that) but I wouldn't say it's quote, unquote: ""exceptional"". ![]() I've definitely learned to be more patient and calm working here. Many times I feel several students are very socially handicapped when you just look at the way they carry themselves on a daily basis and just in general interactions with adults.Parents are involved and do share concern about their success of their kids but it's not as prevalent as the current staff (including myself) would like. There's just a lot of discipline problems. ![]() Speaking of which, this is actually one of the highest, if not the highest performing urban school in this area. However, if you make it through DECA you'll probably be more prepared for college than several other urban schools. college is heavily stressed and the curriculum can be a bit much for some students who may not necessarily be college bound material. This is due to the way the school is set up.It IS true that at DECA. ![]() Some are good and well behaved but these students unfortunately are Not the majority.*Technology is subpar and makes it difficult to perform the job efficiently.*Classrooms don't have doors that lock (or doors period) which is quite problematic for teachers. Competition occurs whenever two or more species. Many kids just don't care about getting negative consequences at all. This book explores how mathematical models can illuminate the interaction known as interspecific competition. Students definitely will not hesitate to put you to task. It's definitely the most unpleasant part of the environment and I suspect this heavily contributes to the teacher retention rate. I want to write something fair so let me put it like this.Pros:*Teachers are nice (several young and new to the field) and willing to provide additional assistance and accommodate as much as reasonably possible to ensure success.*HR and administration are pleasant.*School functions as a team and make sure people are on the same pageCons:*Kids ""typically are"" fairly disrespectful towards teachers, subs, and other personnel. DECA is unlike the schools I attended when I was in grade school and by that I mean that I went to schools where kids (for the most part) did what they were told without the need to constantly redirect them, repeat directions, or issue consequences. I still like the BMW looks as you wont mistake it for any other brand. The technology is fantastic with the large easy to navigate touchscreen or voice command interface.Mine has whats called Gesture Control (optional) and you can answer the phone by pointing at the screen as well as control the radio and change channels amongst several other great functions I have not seen available on any other car.Having owned Mercedes E350,Lexus GS350 and IS ,as well as Chevy Corvette, and 3 and 7 series BMW's I find this 17 530 I a favorite."I can only give my perspective as a teacher who works there. I like to drive it in Sport mode and the power is noticeable and quite peppy. ![]() turbo since I had been driving a Lexus GS350 (6 cyl.) prior to this purchase and the difference was noticeable. The BMW feel is awesome.Tight, solid ride and amazing gas mileage. BMW dealership and it had all the features I wanted for a fair price.I bought it and had it shipped to Las Vegas where I live.At first I had to get used to the 4 cyl.
